Line & Shape Reflection (Photo 1)
I chose to photograph a shadow through the windows at a college campus. This photo was taken on the 5th floor of a library where the sun was shining through the ceiling. For the photo I stood pretty far back so I would be able to include everything. My point of view was from a standing position straight on. This particular photograph was taken vertically. I used the rule of thirds to evenly balance out the shot. This photo is a dynamic composition because it leads the viewer's eye through the photo from the front where the sun is shining toward the back where the rectangle window is.
Pattern and Texture
Pattern and Texture Reflection
My best photo is the first one of the pinecones on the tree. This shot was very close to the tree so I could really capture all of the different textures. I had to bend down a little bit to take this but the shot was straight on. This photo is horizontal. This shot also follows the rule of thirds because the main subject, which is the pinecones, is a third of the way down the photo. This photo is also an example of texture because we can see the texture in the tree, the pinecones, and the background. None of the photos are over or under exposed because I adjusted the exposure before I took the picture.
